Gil grew up in and around aircraft, the middle of three generations of aviation professionals. He led sales and marketing at Executive Jet Aviation (today known as Netjets) before joining the nationwide FBO chain Combs Gates/AMR Combs as Vice President, Marketing, where he updated and revised the Professional Line Service Training Program (now the National Air Transportation Association's Safety 1st PLST).
After a successful term as president of Denver-based charter/management company Mayo Aviation, Gil served as publisher of McGraw-Hill's Business & Commercial Aviation (B/CA), A/C Flyer and Show News magazines. He subsequently joined TAG Aviation USA as VP Corporate Communications and Client Responsible Officer, where he helped build its US-based fleet of managed jets to more than 100 aircraft.
Gil founded Wolin Aviation Consulting in 2009, to assist business aviation service providers to design and implement more effective marketing, communications, and strategic planning programs; and to help business1jet users select the most efficient and cost-effective method to travel. In 2013 he helped found Business Aviation Advisor (www.bizavadvisor.com), a print and online information resource for owners and charterers of business turbine aircraft and fractional shares, where he currently serves as publisher.
A frequent speaker at national and regional events, Gil is a member of the National Business Aviation Association, the Massachusetts Airport Management Association, and the Massachusetts Business Aviation Association. He currently serves on the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University President's Advisory Board, and is a past director of the National Air Transportation Association, and Corporate Angel Network.
